Caney Valley Will Help Pay the Cost of Brush RemovalIn a continuing effort to cut down on outage time, Caney Valley would like to continue to remove trees and brush underneath our electric lines. The cooperative has a policy whereby we can help the landowners with costs of removal. This policy states that Caney Valley Electric may assist the landowners in the removal of hedge or brush which interferes with the operation of the cooperative's distribution lines. It is hoped that by subsidizing some of the cost of brush removal, landowners will be able to clear more fence lines and pastures. Caney Valley will pay up to $.30 per foot for dozing or ripping, and up to $.20 per foot for cutting, depending on denseness and cost of removal. All locations will be inspected and measured before work is begun, with both parties agreeing to terms. Please contact Craig Lampson, Line Superintendent, at 758-2262 or 1-800-310-8911 for further details. Safety Check... Use extension cords on a temporary basis, not as permanent wiring. |
