Rebates on New Electric Appliances
Caney Valley would like to improve the load factor of the cooperative by promoting the use of efficient electrical appliances in member residences and businesses. We offer rebates on new electric dryers, ranges, water heaters and heat pumps. Click here for more information.

Electric Water Heaters
The Cooperative has available 40- or 50-gallon lifetime electric water heaters to members replacing a non-electric unit or installing one in new construction. The water heater must be installed on Caney Valley's lines within 45 days of pickup, with a cooperative representative verifying that the installation and wiring meets standards. Cost to the member is $175.00.
Members replacing an electric unit can purchase one of these for $250.00.

Youth Programs
Caney Valley participates in the Kansas Electric Cooperatives Leadership Camp at Steamboat Springs, Colorado, each July by sponsoring a high school junior from our service area. Youth from Kansas, Colorado, Oklahoma and Wyoming gather for a week in the beautiful Rocky Mountains to build leadership skills, visit local attractions, and make friends and memories that will last a lifetime.
Applications are due by mid-February of each year. The winner receives an all-expense-paid trip, plus a $250 scholarship to be paid the first semester of their college education. Click here for an application, or contact our office or your high school counselor for further information.

The Cooperative also provides seven scholarships to area high school seniors going on to college or a vocational-technical program. The $600 scholarships are paid out at $300 each semester of the first year. Applications are due by march 31st of each year. Click here for an application, or contact our office or your high school counselor for further information.
